Anotation
This article is devoted to the analysis of the use of game and information tools used in the study of foreign languages by preschoolers. The hypothesis of the study was as follows: the formation of the cognitive interest of older preschool children in English will be effective if the following pedagogical conditions are met: the criteria and levels of formation of the cognitive interest of older preschool children in English are determined; substantiated information and gaming tools that ensure the effectiveness of the formation of cognitive interest; a program for preschool children has been developed and implemented. The authors characterize in more detail the list of game and multimedia tools used, which are tied to the thematic blocks of the program. The developed program "Happy Holidays" was introduced into the educational process of the general educational autonomous non-profit organization "Leaders" with a preschool department. The choice of technologies according to the program is determined by the age characteristics of preschoolers. The results of the implementation showed an increase in indicators for cognitive, activity-practical and emotional criteria. The article highlights promising ways to continue the study: management of the introduction of active methods and forms of organization of cognitive-playing activities of preschoolers.
