Anotation
The article is devoted to the development of a methodology of using the Kodu Game Lab platform for the formation of algorithmic thinking and basic programming skills in schoolchildren. The relevance of the research is conditioned by the need to integrate gamified approaches into the educational process that meet the requirements for the development of digital literacy and metacognitive competencies. The aim of the work is to substantiate the pedagogical potential of Kodu Game Lab as a tool for project-based learning, focused on mastering the principles of modeling, data management and creation of interactive scenarios. The methodology is implemented in the format of modular lessons that combine the design of game environments with the solution of educational tasks from the fields of mathematics, science and humanities. The key aspect of the study is the demonstration of the platform's capabilities to visualize abstract concepts (time, motion, logical conditions) through the creation of game mechanics. The example of developing multi-level scenarios shows how students master the basics of programming, learn to analyze data and design rules for object interaction. The results confirm that the use of Kodu Game Lab contributes to the development of creative thinking, understanding of cause-and-effect relationships and teamwork skills. Special attention is paid to the prevention of typical errors (e.g., duplication of key functions) and optimization of the project testing process. This article is aimed at justifying the methodology of using Kodu Game Lab in a school computer science course, evaluating its effectiveness and developing recommendations for teachers.
