The role of physical exercise in the formation of cognitive abilities of higher education students

Anotation
The process of developing competencies in the formation of a value attitude to a healthy lifestyle is a systematic, purposeful work carried out taking into account age-related psychophysiological, social and activity aspects in the context of the organization of a healthy environment of a higher educational institution by participants in the educational process. It is determined that one of the important indicators of the development of competencies in leading a healthy lifestyle is physical development, where students self-perfect in the spiritual and physical direction. This article defines the role of physical culture in the formation of cognitive abilities of students of higher educational institutions necessary for their future professional activities. Such basic cognitive abilities of a person are described as: perception, attention, thinking, speech and imagination. Cognitive functions are highlighted. The cognitive abilities formed by physical culture, their role in the educational and future professional activities of students are determined. The authors conducted experiments confirming the role of exercise in the formation of cognitive abilities. The materials of the article are of interest to students, their parents, teachers and psychologists of higher educational institutions.
