Anotation
The article considers the actual problem of forming tolerance in students, emphasizing its importance in the context of personality development and its regulatory role in professional and personal life. Arguments are given that the development of tolerance in students is a key task of the educational system, as it contributes to the formation of a personality capable of critical thinking, respect for diversity and effective interaction in a multicultural society. The article describes the main provisions of the theory of tolerance, highlights its key aspects and reviews the works of leading scholars in this field. The authors also emphasize the importance of integrating the values of tolerance into the content of the educational process and the need to increase pedagogical tolerance in teachers. As an example of effective practice of tolerance formation, the article presents a special special course developed at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the Kazakh National University Al Farab. The special course “Bridge between Cultures” is aimed at raising students' awareness of intercultural differences, developing intercultural communication skills and forming ethnic tolerance. The article presents the program of the special course, which includes sections on the basic concepts of intercultural communication, cultural differences, non-verbal communication, cultural stereotypes, ethnic tolerance and practical skills of intercultural interaction. The practice of cross-cultural method realization for students' tolerance formation is presented.
